Labor Day is Coming

... and that can only mean 3 things:
1) Time to shop for fall shoes for the family
2) Time to get out my Christmas Spreadsheet and start the budget/gift
buying process
3) Time to put away the white shoes, shorts, and capris

Hard to believe how fast it all goes...

What does Labor Day mean to you?

Labor Day means that I am back to work! It begins the countdown until next summer :)

In Texas, the whites are NEVER put away! Yeah!!

Labor Day to me means my middle child's wedding anniversary - number 5 this year. And it also signals the anticipation of cooler weather (which of course won't come for another 2 months but one can hope) as well as watching for school zones I've spent all summer zipping through during non-attendance periods.

Used to be, Labor Day was the first day I'd sneak around listening to Christmas music. I was quite the Christmas-a-holic when the kids were little.

what? no white after Labor Day? I thought it was okay nowadays...

Labor Day means I really need to start looking for some boots since my black ones are falling apart.

It means my baby boy is having another birthday. His 4th bday is the 2nd. From time to time, his birthday will fall on Labor Day.

Labor Day means the end of summer, and start of school for the kids. It means apple picking is comming. It means time to start freaking out about winter heating bills.

Christmas spreadsheet? Good idea.....
