P.S. It's Hot

Doug and I watched PS I Love You last night, it was REALLY good. I cried for most of the movie, but it was wonderful.

It was 91 degrees at 8:30 this morning. Ugh. But I hit the gym on my way to work and have been motivated to get back "in shape". Probably because we have been going to the "club" to swim and all the skinny, perfectly groomed moms are around.

Aubrey lived in the big pool on Sunday and was jumping off the side to... NOBODY! She is an underwater fiend.

We had one of our favorite summer meals last night. Shish Kabobs - chicken marinated in Itlian dressing, mushrooms, zucchini, tomatos, peppers, onions - served with rice. Healthy, light, and yummy!

Bring on the summer... but dude, I can live without the 101 temps.

PS I love you.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates the heat.

It's been in the mid-to-upper 90's here in the Houston area and air so thick with humidity, you can cut it. My glasses fog up every time I get out of the car. I hate to thing what this year's a/c bills well be - probably more than a typical mortgage payment!

I have PS I Love You on Amazon Unbox and it expires today so tonight we are going to watch it! It's not like we'll want to sit on the back porch being slowly steam baked alive or anything...

My sister and I debated that one on Saturday night, but it looked like more chick flick than I could deal with. Another night though...

I have no desire to cook when the weather is like this! Wonder how long I can stretch out a dentist appt this afternoon so I can just pick something up on the way home??

That BBQ sounds great. We need more gas for our grill, first...

umm...the pool is someplace I am REALLY dreading. I'll see my students there. That's WAY worse than those skinny moms!

Sounds like a lovely evening! Love Kabobs! in Italian dressing too! I need to just bite the big one and go to the pool no matter how crowded it is!

I hear you on the temperatures. Late this morning when it had hit well over 90, Sebstian suggested that we take turns jogging to the middle school track to run a mile.

I went inside and got dressed, came out, and asked if he wanted to go first. "No, you go first. I'll play with the boys outside."

I barely made it home, and when I got here, he said

"yeah, it's too hot right now. I think I'll just go to the gym during nap time."

P.S. he slept during nap time and when the kids woke up he went to the gym

and I love you too.

Oh my goodness. I watched that movie and cried through the entire thing. Especially when she lays in her bed and remembers him at the dresser, getting dressed, coming out of the shower...this was were he was...oh, how heart-wrenching!!!

Enjoy the heat. It's been cold here and we're getting back up to the 90's by Friday! WOO-HOO!! It can never be too hot for me!
