Men At Work

Men At Work signs in Atlanta are being replaced with Workers Ahead good idea or bad idea?

I think for only 1000 bucks, why wouldn't they make this change and why is this news?

Meh. I really don't see any reason to replace the old signs, unless they wear out or get broken. I mean when you replace them, sure, make them Workers Ahead signs.

I think ours in Indiana just say "Road Construction Ahead"....

I always thought that the "Men at Work" signs were because women ALWAYS work and when men did, they wanted to brag about it! :) Just kidding...

In the UK they have signs with pictures only - no words - for construction issues so non-English speakers will know what they mean. They had one for years that looked like "man with umbrella ahead" until they changed the picture to a silhouette of a man with a shovel. I miss the old one.

Just checked and evidently they've changed back to the old sign - go look at http://www.bristol.ac.uk/imagelib/ts.html and see if you can spot the man with umbrella (or parasol as the Brits would say!) Too funny!!

Where can I email you to talk about this?

Men At Work...isn't that a band? Hee-Hee! Keep the old signs...we all know what they mean!

By the way, great job on not buying a new bag. Maybe you'll fall in love with that new/old back pack again!

I love your challenge...but, I tend to be a frugal gal...except for when it comes to shoes...I just can't help myself!
