Baby Birdies

We have 3 Fuscia Hanging Plants along the front of the house. And in the middle one we have this:

It is a VERY small nest and tiny eggs! The mama is a little bird who is getting more brave about hanging out as we go in and out of the house.

It might not be brave - she might be protective!! Watch out!
And I hope they all hatch - what fun for the girls!!!

'Tis the season! We have a very persistent robin that has managed to build another nest under our deck (Ethan knocked down 3 empty ones, but she built this one and laid the eggs before we even knew it was there). I guess it will be another chickenless grilling season in our house...

Oh my, how SPECTACULAR! And a lovely photo as well. Thanks for sharing!

I'm going to try to get a photo of hummingbirds in my wisteria sometime this spring. We had to cut it way back as it was toppling over the trellis it was trained on but it's coming back quickly. So I hope to have a hummingbird sighting before too long!

OMG that is so cute! If you're lucky you and the girls will be able to watch them hatch and grow - take lots of pics if you can.

The coolest part is that Aubrey, wiggly Aubrey stayed still in fascination as we sat and watched them from a bench right under the nest.
