Mighty Meat Palace

We went to Fogo de Chao last night and had a blast. This is a chain, recently opened in Baltimore. The premise is they have unlimited servings of 15 different types of meat. I was a little scared.

But it was a fantastic experience, the table controls the pace and the food was amazing. As was the wine (a Sonoma Pinot Noir), as was the company.

The couple we went to dinner with were a riot. We talked a lot about family, farming, food, the state of food and health - and the revolution that parents our age are taking regarding healthy food and less packaging. We talked about making our own soap and granola and how Moms have no TIME...

We hit the Havana Club after dinner - after a trip to Barnes and Noble and Power Plant Live.

Power Plant Live is apparantly not for the 30-something crowd or for anyone before 9pm. It was empty. But we all got carded and that was a nice :)

This house is hurting this morning and the coffee is ready so BYE.

Note: Doug made pancakes for breakfast and wants white bread for dinner. I believe this is a side effect of "unlimited" meat for dinner.

Ooh! Do your friends have a good recipe for soap and/or granola? Sounds like my kind of conversation! When did I become such a freaky green tree hugger?!

There are several other side effects that I won't go into, but highly recommended.
