Saturday Night Aubrey requested some "dip" on her plate. So I gave her some crab dip. The following ensued:
Aubrey: Is this crab?
Mommy: Yes
Aubrey: making pinch motion Is this Pinchy Crabs?
Mommy: Yes it is. makes pinch motion back
Aubrey: Is this crab dead or alive?
Mommy: looks at Jess for help It is dead.
Aubrey: shakes head up and down OK, does it have it's Pinchy Pinchy shell?
Mommy: We took the shell off.
Jess: There are no crab pieces in there that would pinch you.
Aubrey: tastes the crab dip. I don't like this dip. Please get it off my plate.

Good! More for you! Hee hee hee...We ordered pizza Saturday night and wouldn't give Arley any just cause we're horrible, selfish parents! Oh my goodness, I'm embarassed now. Am I a complete jerk?
At least she tried it and said please when she wanted you to take it off her plate!
And, No, Erica - pizza is not good for anyone except Mommies and Daddies! he he - I don't like to share my take-out pizza with Tommy!

LOL. I love the pinchy crabness.
Don't you just love when they say they want to eat it and then it doesn't meet the standards? regan tried chili the other night - decided the cheese wasnt' supposed to be IN the same bowl as the chili - fine, I will eat it!
My kids don't even usually try new things. But, I could see how a cute little crab might make the dish a little more scary.
She was too funny...and then you had to scrape every last bit of the dip off the plate. Hopefully she's a fan of steamed crabs though, because if not, well, then something's just not right!!
Erica/Lydia - sometimes we give the kids generic Giant cheese pizza just to keep from feeling too guilty about us eating our gourmet takeout pizza :-)
That's too cute. I love how kids are so specific.
I always have to make sure that I ask Sebi if he wants his sandwich/apple,quesadilla cut or not.
Sometimes he does. Sometimes he doesn't. But he gets MAD when he doesn't and you do it before asking!!
