Snackalicious Reminder and Recipe RePost

Today is the day! Link up your recipe post here. Share in the fun and the yum.

My favorite recipe - EVER - easy, but expensive.

Hot Crab Dip
1 lb lump crab meat
16 oz softened cream cheese
8 oz sour
cream
1 TBL Worcestershire Sauce
1 TBL Old Bay (or more... shake in what
you like!)
2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Mix all ingredients except crab and cheese
Fold in Crab
Top With Cheddar
Bake 350 for 30 minutes, no cover
Serve with crackers, bread, pita chips, or carrotts and celery.

Another favorite go to snack - easy and CHEAP!

Cheesey Bacon Roll-Ups
2 Cans Pillsbury (or generic)
croissants
1 container Hormel Bacon Bits
1/2 C onion
some pepper
8
oz cream cheese -
softened
Basically, mix the bacon bits, onion, pepper
and cream cheese
together. Then open the croissant dough and create
RECTANGLES from 4 triangular
piecesby pinching all the seams together (so
can of 8 makes 2 rectangls).
Thenspread in some filling, roll it up slice it
and bake it per directions
oncroissant container and YUM, YUM, YUMMY. If
that made zero sense I amsorry. I don't have that one written formally
anywhere.

One of our new easy quick favorite dessert things we do with Aubrey is the following:

Buy a package of the Pillsbury "holiday" themed sugar cookies - right now
there are pink hearts out.

Cut them in half - not so you mess up the design. Place them on a
cookie sheet and bake a little less than time recommended. Cool.
Grab a can of Icing and ice the "back" of one of the cookies, place another
cookie and now you have a sandwich!

I'd really like to try your crab dip. Any hints on what to use instead of whatever Old Bay is? That is not available here.

Yikes! I thought Old Bay was EVERYWHERE. It's a seafood seasoning in a can--by McCormicks. Fabulous, can't live without it stuff!

I would guess any seafood seasoning would work. If it's a bland seasoning (Old Bay has some zip), then just add a little cayenne pepper or a bit more tabasco sauce.

I also found this:

to make your own!

I grew up fishing for crab...can't eat it any longer, but I'm like Michelle - you have totally redeemed yourself with the bacon roll-ups! :)

I'm having a deja vu moment...have I seen these two recipes together somewhere else?

Either way (new or familiar), both of these sound FABULOUS! I LOVE seafood dips and this one? I know without ever having tasted it, I will feel the same way about it.

I've made the Cheesy Bacon Roll Ups on several occasions--I can vouch for how yummy those are :).

Thanks for joining in this month and for telling others about it. Snackalicious and Recipe Round Up will, I'm afraid, affect my body and my pocketbook this month :/. :)

Just wanted to let you know - your crab dip is in my oven, right now!
I did a google for Old Bay and found a 'recipe'. I'll post photos of my attempt tomorrow! I had to halve the recipe as I didn't have quite enough of everything, and also I then put it in little single serve ramikens. I can't wait to try it.
